Job Description:

The Product Designer will play a role in developing high-performance CMP Polishing Slurries used in the production of advanced semiconductor devices in R&D at Entegris. This role is responsible for assisting in generating innovative CMP slurry formulation designs by identifying new, effective slurry components, establishing key product characteristics, discovering mechanisms of action, and delivering differentiated performance to our customers. The Product Designer will own specific aspects of a development project and will be expected to design experiments and analyze generated data. The role must be able to communicate and discuss results directly with Global-R&D peers, cross-function partners and customers.

• Develop new products and develop mechanistic expertise in slurry formulation.
• Build an understanding of structure-activity relationships around particle, polymer, and small molecule slurry components.
• Apply lab-based methods to screen additives, probe mechanism of action, and ensure product robustness using your expertise and statistically robust experimental designs
• Design and execute experiments with engineering team to verify slurry performance on test customer device wafers.
• Analyze outcomes of experiments using advanced statistical tools and be able to use those results to logically plan future experiments.
• Create technical presentations to be shared within R&D, internal stakeholders, and customers.
• Collaborate in a diverse team that includes engineers, customers representatives, chemists, quality specialists, production engineers, customer facing personnel, and account managers.
• Generate and execute high level strategies for product design.
• Manage technical and functional needs for customers translating those to product features and designs.
• Ability to influence customers to implement difficult solutions that are perceived to be in their best interest.
