Role & Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead product development projects composed of teams across multiple sites, business segments and functions chartered to deliver a new product at the pace of the market life cycle.
  • Initiate projects following appropriate project management methodology including gathering and defining comprehensive project requirements, ensuring for strategic alignment, developing project charter, project plans, budgets and schedules, determining staffing requirements, and forming cross-functional project teams.
  • Define and follow project management methods, procedures, and quality objectives, including metrics for assessing progress.
  • Balance workload, provide technical and analytical guidance and work direction to project team, including scheduling, assignment of work, reviews of project efforts, and removal of roadblocks which inhibit project success. Coordinate with the functional management for resources required to complete tasks.
  • Ensure all team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively. Provide the team with constructive feedback as it pertains to project performance.
  • Assess variances from the project plans, budgets and schedules, develop and implement changes as necessary to ensure that the project remains within specified scope and is within time, cost, and quality objectives, and keep management aware of the situation.
  • Identify potential areas for improvement in current project management methodologies and provide coaching to project team members and business managers.
  • Maintain appropriate professional training and practices and up-to-date knowledge of current information technology techniques and tools.
QUALIFICATION PROFILE
  • Bachelors or higher degree in Engineering or Science related field
  • At least 3 years Semiconductor industry experience of commercial, fabrication operation, or business development.
  • Experience in a “influence management” role or related internal consultancy role
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong base capability in analytical and data related tools (excel, power point, MS project).

  • Role Based Competencies Accountability, Analytical Thinking, Business Enterprise Knowledge
  • Travel to manufacturing sites to work with development teams in Asia is required. Off hour interface and support of global project teams is required.
