Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will plan, develop, and execute tests for SOCs in Post Silicon Validation that proves correct operation at the hardware function, in IP, block, and full chip level.
  • The SOC logic to be covered includes CPU sub-system, Power Management, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, integrated system bus and security, PCIE, USB, SDIO, and more.
  • The successful candidate will have programming experience including languages such as Python, TCL, C, and shell/bash scripting.
  • A background in embedded hardware diagnostics development is a plus as is familiarity with ARM architecture.
  • The position requires an independent and self-directed senior level engineer who should be comfortable in the lab working with evaluation platforms, ARM Debugger / Multi-ICE, traffic generators and protocol analyzers, test equipment, etc.)
  • The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively with RTL design and verification engineers, kernel/firmware engineers, and board designers.
  • New silicon bring-up with SOC Design teams

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Post Silicon validation experience in ASIC/SoC development.
  • Experience in Digital Design or Silicon characterization
  • Experience in Silicon Debug and Failure Analysis.
  • Experience with Verilog, C/C++ and Python/Perl scripting
  • Good knowledge of the design and verification process
  • Able to read schematics and instrument systems for power measurements
  • Lab skills (operation of lab equipment, interested and able to work in the lab)
  • Experience using the Trace debugger for ARM processor access
  • Strong verbal and written technical communication skills
  • Experience with pre-silicon verification environments (RTL simulation, emulation, Palladium)

You Might Also Have

  • Experience with (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee) designs.
  • Knowledgeable of high-speed IO protocols (e.g. USB, PCIe, SDIO)
  • Familiarity with microcontroller architectures and with interfaces commonly found on microcontrollers (SPI, I2C, I2S, UART, JTAG)
  • Assembly language programming skills a plus.
  • Experience with PCB schematic design.
  • Experience measuring leakage and dynamic power in system environments
  • Proactive communication with and support for cross functional teams such as Design, Operations, Applications, and Software, both locally and in remote design centers.
