Job Summary

Syneos Health is looking for a talented, commercial minded paralegal with strong organizational skills to work on our APAC entities integration and rationalization and also to assist on the administration, execution and stamping of our corporate documents and contracts. This is a highly commercial role that requires sound judgement and interfacing with a number of internal and external constituents.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the APAC Legal team.
  • Provide logistical and organizational support to the APAC Legal team.
  • Provide pragmatic day-to-day support to the APAC Legal team.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Support the transaction team in forming and dissolving corporate entities, maintaining corporate books and various activities related to the entities rationalization.
  • Assist with a wide variety of legal issues including corporate, regulatory, commercial and general legal matters.
  • Coordinate notarization and legalization of documents.
  • Perform legal (LexisNexis and/or other databases) and factual research, and prepare written and reports as needed. Act as department liaison to various internal departments and external counsel.
  • Perform administrative support in preparing and distributing various memos and reports related to attorney projects, tracking legal invoices and the department budget.
  • Update and maintain the legal corporate database as needed, providing support to the different Legal team members and uploading relevant documents.
  • Draft, prepare and assist with execution of routine PoAs for affiliates.
Qualifications

What we’re looking for
  • Preferably 2+ years of relevant experience in either a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Ability to work within a matrixed environment.
  • Comfortable with technology, including e-signature platforms and electronic document management.
  • Experience handling multiple projects in fast-paced environment, with a high degree of client service orientation, and performing successfully in cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and take a business-oriented approach, providing succinct, accurate and pragmatic advice;
  • Exceptional analytical skills, independent judgment, a desire to learn, and an ability to take on and has a can-do attitude;
  • Sense of humour is a plus;
  • Fluent in English and reading/writing skills in Japanese and Chinese (mandatory).
