As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. As a Materials Program Manager at Google, you will plan requirements with a large cross-functional team and follow these requirements through execution across the project’s lifecycle once it goes to mass production. This includes managing schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating status updates to key stakeholders.

As an expert in the areas of material planning and operations management, you will be responsible for the strategic and tactical elements of creating and executing fulfillment plans that support program requirements. You will work closely with procurement, engineering, operations, and suppliers to develop plans that directly support consumer hardware.

Responsibilities

• Drive material readiness for mass production builds in a balanced/sustained fashion.
• Ensure smooth product transitions, and be the primary material liaison with original device manufacturer and new product introduction, and more for product bring up and launch.
• Communicate status, risks, and influence change, and drive initiatives and process improvements to help the team to become more scalable. Represent the materials organization in internal program meetings.
• Maintain budget records and provide high level of Customer Service for internal customers. Source, evaluate, and recommend potential suppliers, support cost reduction programs.
• Follow up on open purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery and communicate with internal customers to resolve receiving and accounts payable discrepancies. Identify supply chain risks and mitigation steps to ensure material readiness from product goes into mass production and through end of life.
