We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing and PR Officerto join our team on a permanent fulltime role.PRIMARY PURPOSE
Marketing and PR Officer will support the Marketing and Public Relations of TES to the external community.
Working Relationships and Contacts
- Working on the production of marketing materials and event preparation with Internal Stakeholders, such as Section’s Marketing Liaisons.
- Work with External vendors, designers, editors to ensure the marketing projects are implemented and finished within set deadlines.
- Working on PR school events with a range of internal stakeholders and external stakeholders, including the Parent Support Council, vendors required to service the events, etc…
- Working with colleagues across the school to ascertain information required for materials and projects; teachers, central administration staff, and sometimes with students on projects.
- Working with alumni students to organise events and marketing materials.
- Work with colleagues in the Marketing and PR department to allocate work effectively and support junior staff as needed.

Marketing Publications Planning and Implementation
- Process marketing design/production requests - from the Sections. Refer to the Graphic Design Request Form. (Ranging from Posters, Fliers, invitations, brochures, prospectus, website related, X-mas/CNY cards, TES print ads, etc...)
- Implement design requests reconfirm with the Section’s Marketing Liaison and requesting Teacher to ensure parameters and details of the design project are clearly explained to the designer being used on the project.
- Work with the Printing / Marketing related vendor companies to ensure production of materials at appropriate quality and within time deadlines and within budgeted cost.
- Work with the Copy editor to ensure high quality in final printed products.
- Manage to production of the twice yearly school Magazine - Connect. Work with designer, copy editor, contributors to provide a high quality of production within the Deadlines (last week of December term for Winter ed. and last week of Summer term for Summer ed.)
- Provide creative input and marketing experience input in all major school promotional products - working with the Director to set appropriate implementations plans for marketing’s strategic goals.
- Supporting the Yearbook creation process - Summer semester - assisting in the printing process.
- Assist Sections with marketing support and event support for main school events, including Autumn Festival, Christmas Bazaar, Spring Fair,Europe Day, Graduation and ad hoc presentations throughout the academic year.
- Work with external stakeholders on promotional events, including ECCT events (such as Christmas Luncheon, Beach clean-up), Taipei City Government events (such as Lantern Festival, various).
- Contact outside media (print, social, TV, radio, web) as required to promote TES events effectively and widely.
- Establish and maintain a TES Alumni Association for students, their parents/families and staff.
- Promote the success of the TES Alumni as part of ongoing strategic marketing through print and online media.
- Establish TES Alumni as part of the identity of TES.
- Support the Marketing and Social Media Officer with TES Website to ensure effective communications with the key stakeholder groups.
- Support the Marketing and Social Media Officer with FB posting of regularly with events promotion, key information for stakeholders, alumni and other key information as deemed appropriate.
- Support the Maintenance of appropriated TES Social media to ensure the school has a modern interface with its stakeholders.
- Work in close liaison with the IT Department to ensure security of web and media content and that it stays within the TES control.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant child protection, privacy and data protection laws and school policies which are affected by website and social media publications.
- Conduct standard administration processes as per TES procedures, including such items as process payments to vendors, order stationery, etc… basic departmental processes.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BSc) from an international University/College
- Degree related to Marketing preferable
- Minimum 5 years marketing experience Knowledge and experience in Social Media marketing
- Minimum 3 years PR experience.
- Experience in campaign planning and execution
- Advanced level English - able to work quickly and efficiently in English medium. Highly competent English communication skill and written skills.
- Native level Chinese Mandarin speaker
- Able to run projects independently, and work collaboratively with colleagues across Sections to deliver on sometimes tight deadlines
- Able to prioritise and plan effectively working under project deadline
- Proactive to create positive results and
- Able to act quickly and on own initiative to solve operational problems / address client complaints.
