Legal Counsel Business Partner

As a member of the Legal Department, the Legal Counsel Business Partner will assist various business units in the preparation, negotiation, review, and administration of vendor/ supplier/ customer contracts. He/ She will work directly with the assigned business units and with the Legal department, to achieve contracts that comply with company policies and contain appropriate business terms including service descriptions, definitions, measures, deliverables, phases, milestone progress reporting and acceptance processes.

Contracts to be reviewed and negotiated typically include Purchase, Sales, Services, Supply, Distributor and Vendor Agreements.

Responsibilities

• Providing sound and professional legal advisory on whole spectrum of general commercial matters and transactions specifically for the assigned business units.
• Assist in contract drafting, review, and participate in negotiations with customers and suppliers for the assigned business units.
• Assist, advise and provide support on internal investigations/ reviews or any legal disputes and liaising with external legal counsel as required.
• Educating internal stakeholders on legal risks and best practices
• Conducting legal research and analysis
  

Essential

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of work experience in an in-house role
• Experience in negotiating contracts as a supplier.
• Analytical, strategic thinker, with good business acumen
• Self-motivated team player, with the ability to work independently
• Responsive, articulate, with good presentation and interpersonal skills
• Strong command of English and Mandarin (simplified and traditional), written and spoken
