Job Overview

The internship will enhance the understanding of the effect of material properties on injection molding, design, and inspections. You will work closely with engineers in rheology, mechanics, computational simulations, thermal properties. Through the internship, you will gain an understanding of regulated industries in medical device manufacturing, and how design, quality and engineering is interconnected to fulfill the needs of our customers.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan and execute Independent Internship Project to further understand material properties and its influence on manufacturability of medical devices and its components.
• Run experiments on capillary rheometer, tensile, TGA, DSC, Impact tester, extractions, etc.
• Assist and execute studies to solve device issues in deviations and non-conformities.
• Assist and establish materials technical specifications
• Present finding and studies to management

• Others:
• Support and participate in improving laboratory procedures, reports, data collection and analysis.
• Engage in improving digitalization of laboratory practices.

Your Qualifications

• Degree in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering disciplines with a concentration in materials.
• Desirable: basic knowledge in computational simulations and coding (Eg. R, PowerBII)
• Familiar with Office clerical software.
• Good English communication skills
• Expectation Traits: Independent, Positive, Attentive.
