Reporting to MD, Head of Commercial has primary responsibility and takes ownership to achieve Taiwan revenue results, set up the right commercial strategy, structure and processes, and lead the commercial team (Sales, Branded Content, Marketing and Events) to better engage the clients, win the business and drive sustainable revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
Business/Revenue
- To develop commercial strategy, pricing structure and sales plan for Taiwan, review and evaluate market opportunities, and take effective actions.
- To drive business growth in both core and new categories via developing products, services and commercial initiatives that meet and exceed customers’ requirements and capture new business potentials.
- To develop and implement digital commercial plans to drive digital revenue.
- To establish and enhance our leading position in the key luxury categories.
- To manage the client engagement and retention, develop, maintain and improve business relations with all clients and agencies at senior levels.
- Manage strong network and working relations with external partners, communities and stakeholders.
Leadership and Team
- To lead and monitor the commercial teams to achieve the brand, revenue and profitability objectives of the company.
- To provide leadership for the day to day operations of the commercial team while maintaining focus on company strategic goals.
- To set an efficient commercial team structure, hire, retain and develop key talent.
- To improve the commercial process and system, and effectively manage the resources.
Collaborations
- To work with the content, art and design, Finance and HR, and other regional business units (Watchs, Dining, Homes, Gen.T) to create synergies and drive/ensure an integrated team effort.
- Develop cross platform selling opportunities.
- Develop and support international and regional revenue opportunities.
- Work with the Finance team to analyze sales statistics, monitor competitor activity and market information in a timely manner.
Performance Measures:
- Revenue achievement vs target
- Client engagement and retention
- Market position – Tatler Hong Kong to be the top luxury brand ahead of other competitors in brand preference, ad revenues and client relationships
- Team performance and engagement, improve per head revenue contribution
- Improvement on operational and cost efficiency
Requirements:
- At least 10 years sales/commercial experience with 5 years at senior level in the luxury and media industry, with a proven track record successfully achieving business results and driving substantial growth.
- Commercial savvy, solid market understanding and strong client’s connection.
- Digital savvy and track record driving digital products development and transformation
- Strong commercial mindset.
- Strong sales planning and analytic skills.
- Entrepreneurship and open mindset.
- Able to lead & motivate the team to achieve the results through delegation and empowerment.
- Mature leader with strong capabilities to work under pressure.
- Fluent in written and oral Mandarin and English.
