Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of program/project management experience developing consumer electronics products through the entire lifecycle with cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in consumer electronics and devices module development and working with contract manufacturers in Asia.
  • Experience with product development, program management, project management, professional services, and/or engineering management.
  • Knowledge of hardware development/manufacturing processes and vendor relations.
  • Ability to work creatively on a team to lead technical teams, cross-functional groups, and vendors in accordance with plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10% of the time as needed.

About The Job

In this role, you’ll manage an innovative Engineering team. You will work closely with Engineers, Product Managers, Contract Manufacturers (CMs), Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to get high-quality products built, tested, and released on time.

You will also bridge the gap between our technologies and system by coordinating many fast-changing, moving parts that come together as a product. You’ll also identify and manage risks by making sound judgments about quality, and stopping (or speeding up) production at the right time.

Responsibilities

  • Manage development of hardware modules, and drive the overall tactical execution and strategy of the team for one or more systems.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to execute tactical solutions to technology development risks and issues to meet system build milestones, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Develop and manage hardware module schedules and resource needs with Engineering and Operations teams. Communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Liaise between vendors and cross-functional Engineering and Operations teams by driving builds and managing hardware module schedules, budgets, and performance.
  • Lead module sub-system development builds at one or more vendors, and manage the budgets for module development.
