General Summary

Provides highly visible customer support through the performance of calibration services (in-lab and on-site), as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, and repair of general purpose and RF communications test equipment. Validates operational quality of system equipment. Serves as liaison for customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. Interprets customers’ needs and identifies if work can be conducted on-site or must be performed in-lab based on equipment required accuracy. This job may include any aspect of field support, and is not limited to M&TE, system hardware and software, PCs, and networking/wireless networking. Domestic travel will be required.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:Perform Measure & Test Equipment (M&TE) calibration at Taiwan-Hsinchu.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum three years of hands-on field service experience in two or more of the following areas: power supply calibration (up to 1000 W), frequency counter calibration (up to 50 GHz), oscilloscope calibration (up to 50 GHz), signal generator calibration (up to 50 GHz), function generator calibration, or power meter calibration

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on field service experience in all areas listed in the minimum qualifications and hands-on field experience in three or more of the following areas is preferred: digital signal generator calibration (LTE and TD-SCDMA), spectrum/signal analyzer calibration (up to 50 GHz), network analyzer calibration (up to 50 GHz), power sensor calibration (up to 50 GHz), communication analyzer calibration, component/assembly level repair of radio frequency (RF) test equipment (up to 50 GHz)

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
