The company has offices in the UK, US and India.Senior Fact Checker (Mandarin and English speaking)Remote role based out of TaiwanPrimary ResponsibilitiesOur fact-checkers research and write original, high-quality fact checks to strict editorial standards and tight deadlines for a mix of audiences, from the readers of our website to private and public sector clients. We also work closely with major social media companies to moderate misinformative content on their platforms.As Logically Facts’ Taiwan-based Senior Fact-Checker, you will directly contribute to our mission to understand and combat mis and disinformation. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of fact-checking initiatives and to the development of our fact-checking technology and products.Essential Skills And ExperienceExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin languageStrong news sense and professional newsroom, fact-checking, or other editorial experience of 4-6 yearsStrong analytical skills, with the ability to remain impartial and critical while writing on complex and sensitive topicsStrong understanding of the political and media landscape in the APAC region with special focus on China and its neighbourhood.The ability to work well to tight deadlinesKeen eye for detailThe ability to grasp new and complicated information quicklyDesirable Skills And ExperienceFamiliarity with fact-checking skills and techniques and/or Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) techniquesExpertise in a complementary discipline or subject (e.g. Economics, Politics, International Relations, Public Health, National Security)Benefits
