  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in simulator or virtual prototyping (e.g., QEMU, gem5, SystemC, ARM Fast Model, Virtualizer).
  • 3 years of experience in technical leadership.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in technical leadership and people management.
  • Experience in drivers development (e.g., Linux/Android) for mobile chipset, firmware development (e.g., RTOS, bare metal), boot loaders development.
  • Experience in FPGA or emulation solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, investigative, project management, and communication skills.

As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world’s largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team and collaborate with other Technical Leads or teams to deliver simulation solutions for pre-silicon software development (e.g., driver, ROM, firmware).
  • Manage a team of Software Engineers, including task planning, code reviews, recruit, hire, and onboard a team of Software Engineers.
  • Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-moving environment.
  • Be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of technical projects.
  • Contribute technically to projects.
