Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development experience in C, C++, or Java programming languages.
• 3 years of people management experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related degree.
• 8 years of relevant industry experience, including 2 years of direct technical leadership and people management experience.

In this role, you’ll help lead a team to build user-facing products that provide the best user experience on Pixel phones. You will work with a team of Product Managers and User Experience Designers to define, ideate, prototype, develop, test, and iterate the software products while ensuring software quality through software engineering principles.

Whether adding to the core Android experience, forging new markets for digital content, creating immersive and portable versions of our products or managing relationships with a global community of developers, the Mobile team is giving you Google on the go.

Responsibilities

• Manage the battery management software engineering team.
• Manage, develop, and deliver projects.
• Ensure Google standards for technical and product excellence are met.
• Foster a team culture of inclusion and provide or facilitate training for inclusion and skill development.
• Interface with hardware teams to scope out work needed to support device factory manufacturing tools and readiness.
