About The Job

Our team owns Pixel system software to make use in the most efficient way of the underlying hardware. We define, bring up, and polish to final product new platforms, define, and drive the system software roadmap focusing on the device performance and power consumption by exploring and optimizing major application processor components: CPU task scheduling, CPU freq/idle management, system fabric/ memory bus utilization optimization, system thermal management, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Work with engineers across the organization to develop new Pixel product with exceptional performance and battery life.
  • Design and implement thermal management software for various use cases meeting respective performance and power requirements.
  • Define, design, and implement novel approaches to make Android/Pixel software significantly increase performance.
  • Design and develop tools for performance and thermal testing and monitoring running on Pixel devices.
