Key Responsibilities
  • Processes: Build line management understanding, following and involving of EHS processes
    • Be an influencer to line management by building and fostering a deep understanding of the theoretical concepts, industry standards, and best practices in one or more DuPont Processes and/or sub-processes
    • Provide technical expertise, strategic leadership, and support various site, hub, BUs to make decision on technology, regulatory compliance issues in EHS.
    • Being responsible for maintaining site auditing, periodical communication, training, incident investigation.
  • Capability: Leverage EHS expertise and experiences to support Hsinchu site I and other stakeholders
    • Understand the chemicals and any/all potential safety, health and environmental hazards/risks used/present at Hsinchu site I.
    • To cooperate with functional team (like but not limited - MT team / product stewardship and process safety relevant activities at the site.
  • Delivery: Guideline management to deliver EHS policy, set the culture and manage hazards
    • Be responsible for central safety committee and program/ activity and to meet local requirements.
    • Be responsible for regulation review, toxic chemical substance management and participate in the networks / meetings / emergency response and external inspection for the site.
  • Improvement: Act as a role model for compliance and commitment
    • Spend time engaging with employees and act as a role model for ensuring compliance with and commitment to the DuPont EHS Policy.
    • Oversee the development of various third party EHS certification / activities including sustainability and culture change, to reduce defects and cost;
  • Strategy: Contribute to the EHS strategy beyond own unit
    • Represent the company on various nonprofit boards, government committees and trade organization (if applicable) to support DuPont business growth in Taiwan.
Qualifications
  • Preferred 8 years or more of demonstrated experience,
  • Occupational Safety and Health Technician licenses (職業安全衛生管理員)+環安科系
  • Occupational Safety Specialist or Health Specialist (職業安全管理師 或 職業衛生管理師)
  • Other related certification (Ex: ISO / OHASA / TOSHMS system)
  • Proficient in local safety management, workplace safety regulation
  • Able to work under intense pressure in a fast paced environment and deliver within tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, committed and result oriented team player.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill.
  • Good in English for reading / writing / listening and speaking.
