Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in program management or project management

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience managing large-scale and dynamic technical projects, with competing resources and priorities
  • Experience with end-to-end program management in consumer hardwares, mobile devices, embedded software, or Android softwares
  • Ability to manage with ambiguity from proposal, solutions to execution and collaborate with stakeholders across different functions and time zones to manage change and guide continuous improvement initiatives
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive leadership stakeholder management skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It’s your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The User Trial and Dogfooding (UTD) team’s mission is to design and create programs to understand users’ perspective and expectations to assess product quality and experience, towards an end goal of the best Pixel experience.

You will collaborate with Android Insight team to design, plan and manage the Android and Pixel Dogfood program, Android Beta program, and Pixel Trusted Tester program. You will also analyze Dogfood issues, perform reproduction and verification tests, prioritize and select top Dogfood issues for improving velocity and solved rate of Dogfood issues.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage Android and Pixel Dogfood programs.
  • Prioritize and manage Dogfood issues to be solved.
  • Analyze Dogfood sentiment and issues for software and hardware review.
  • Manage the quality metrics to be applied for quality management and collaborate with the Android Insights team to conduct Dogfood programs.
  • Secure the Pixel quality bar and carry out continuous test process improvement.
