[Overview]
The Business and Integrated Operations Continuous Improvement organization in the DuPont Electronics & Industrial (E&I) business has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a talented Continuous Improvement Resource (CI Resource) role, a leveraged role that resides in a leveraged Continuous Improvement team within Integrated operations. The CI Resource team is accountable for defining and leading implementation of business and integrated operations work process standards. The team is also the primary source of program/project leadership. In that scope, this role supports end to end process excellence through development and application of standard methods, tools, metrics, and training for business and Integrated Operations functions (Customer Service, Demand, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Logistics). Lean and Six sigma methodologies are utilized to drive excellence through program and project leadership.
Furthermore, the E&I digital transformation journey has started to leverage new technologies and Industry 4.0 innovations to improve our processes, culture, customer experiences, internal productivity and agility to meet changing business and market requirements. This role will provide the project leadership and / or supports for E&I lean and digital transformation projects.
[Core Responsibilities]
- Lead improvement projects to realization and financial validation through application of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Projects focus on Lean implementation and improvement with leveraging new technologies and Digital / Industry 4.0 innovations to achieve functional and system improvement, organization development, cost reduction, work process optimization, productivity and quality improvement, and employee and customer experience.
- Apply lean tools including value stream mapping, DILO, visual management, kaizen, brainstorming to identify wastes and organize Kaizen improvement teams / activities.
- Identify gaps in business analysis, in particular with regards to operational data, partner with the relevant experts to proposing solutions. Be aware of current industry practices and emerging trends.
- Have the ability and leadership skills to work with leadership to drive a vision for a world class management process.
- Draft charters for improvement projects with clearly defined benefits, scope, resource requirements and project plan with milestones and timeline.
- Integrates issue solutions into an overall process vision for an optimal system.
[Related Responsibilities]
- Provides subject matter expert (SME) guidance in support of best practices, digital transformation and Lean/Six Sigma project activities in pursuit of continuous improvement.
- Create and sell value proposition for standardization and improvement.
- Support the building of an efficient business and manufacturing work flow and systems.
- Consulting skills: Hypothesis development, Data Collection and Analysis, Designing Models and Analytical Tools, interpreting results, Facilitation Training, Synthesis Message development and communication, Establishing & Managing relationships, Coaching.
- Develop capability, buy-in and support for lean continuous improvement culture in the organization.
- Promote discipline using data for decisions and application of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to implement change throughout the organization.
- Mentor and coach improvement teams, Kaizen teams and Green Belts/other CI Resources.
[Job Qualification]
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Information Technologies.
- 5 years minimum applicable experience in Manufacturing/Supply Chain role.
- Deep experience in Lean Manufacturing/Management, Six Sigma and Agile demonstrated proficiency in delivering projects on-time and in-full with impact.
- Project/program management experience, with demonstrated proficiency in delivering quality results on-time and in-full.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification is preferred.
- Familiar with Digital Transformation / Industry 4.0 tools and technologies.
- APICS CPIM required (in role if not prior).
- ERP competency (SAP / Business Warehouse (BW)).
- Able to demonstrate significant depth in at least one or more of the following: Continuous Improvement / Program Leadership, Lean/Kaizen application in Mfg. and transactional, SAP/BW, Demand/Supply Planning & Scheduling.
- Knowledgeable of supply chain and operations design and improvement.
- Technical aptitude, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, agility and adaptability.
- Speaks English fluently.
