Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, or equivalent practical experience
• 3 years of experience in camera components, module design, or manufacturing process
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, or a related field
• Experience in camera component and module manufacturing process
• Experience in camera prototype planning, module bring-up and debugging, and functional verification
• Knowledge in camera module design and/or camera key parts design
• Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills
  
  

About The Job

In this role, you will focus on camera hardware design, development, and validation for Google’s consumer hardware. You will research and explore imaging hardware and applications to help bring the best of Google’s photography experience to the users. You will work with partners as well as Android Software and other cross-functional teams to bring immersive imaging features to Google products.

Responsibilities

• Research mobile imaging technologies, solutions, and applications. Prototype camera solutions for validation and explorations
• Conduct camera module architecture and system level design
• Bring designs to mass production by setting factory test requirements, assisting in software bring-up, and traveling on-site to the manufacturer to ensure the design is built and tested successfully
• Validate designs at component and system level, assuring highest level image quality standards
