Job Summary

The Myopia Development Manager works to develop and improve CooperVision’s Myopia market position and achieve financial growth. The job holder defines long-term strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies and increases business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

The Myopia Development Manager leads the professional link and support between hospital channels and CooperVision Taiwan . This role will train ophthalmologists on parent consultation, patient fitting and post dispense support and follow up as required for CooperVision’s success in myopia management. They will report back learnings and insights for ongoing success and refine training and tools accordingly. A key function of the role will be the establishment and development of an ophthalmologist network in Central and South Taiwan.

In addition to the above duties, the Myopia Development Manager will lead communications and interactions with ophthalmologists in Taiwan through real world data collection, developing clinical papers, clinical guidelines and case study reviews. This role represents CooperVision Myopia Management initiatives through participation and presentation at ophthalmolo gy seminars.

Essential Functions

  • Build and develop relationships with key ophthalmology clinical, educational and commercial opinion leaders involved in myopia management.

  • Identify and prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.

  • Forecast sales target of MiSight products and ensure they are met annually

  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through providing solutions and differences to a positive conclusion.

  • Work with Myopia Management Manager to build an ophthalmologist training platform, host fitting clinics related to CooperVision myopia management products and a certification process, to optimize success amongst eye care professionals. Based on learnings, refine protocols as required.

  • Present with personal impact as required on myopia management and CooperVision myopia management products and serve as the CV Taiwan Myopia Management expert to external audiences, including representing CVI with trade media, where appropriate.

  • Be the primary and lead contact for CooperVision customers in their implementation of a myopia management system.

  • Coordinates initiatives to include hospitals, CVI (including Specialty Eye Care) and academic teams.

  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.

  • Work with CVI global professional affairs to ensure alignment of plans and support required.

  • Share best practices for CooperVision myopia management products success to both internal and external partners to aid in future market development.

  • Collect and act upon information about competitive products in the marketplace.

  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop CooperVision’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.

  • Can present clearly and consistently each component of the CVI myopia management treatment program.

  • Interprets clinical studies and market data to add credibility, overcome objectives and influence the ophthalmologist in a compelling manner.

  • Supports further market development activities including professional papers, clinical guidelines and case study review.

  • Builds, maintains, and leads strong relationships with other members of the CV Taiwan team, sales support and commercial management teams to gain their support in executing customer objectives

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Exceptional consultative selling skills; influences sales process at expert level
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Is well read and has a thorough understanding of eyecare related knowledge in the practice and the competitive set. Experience in myopia management is preferred.
    • Enthusiastic, engaged and supportive of all CVI initiatives
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Use of all Microsoft office suite of tools as well as CVI CRM solution at intermediate to advanced level
    • Effectively identify, evaluate and assimilate information to render quality decisions
    • Ability to make high-level presentations to various sized customer groups
    • Good presentation skills
    • Result driven and motivation for sales
    Work Environment
    • Extensive travel, approximately 70% of time in the field – remote employee.
    Experience
    • Experience in ophthalmology ideal
    • Minimum 3 years ’ eye care related experience
    • Demonstrated experience in training and roles where the influence of others was required
    • Has demonstrated a leadership role in prior pos itions is preferred
    • Demonstrated skills in customer business development and plan implem entation
    • Experience working in medical and pharmaceutical industry will be required.
    Education
    • Bachelor of eye care related subject from medical school
    • Consideration given to candidates with strong sales experience and track record of results
    • Fluency in the English language is required.
