Isola, an industry leader in global materials sciences whose mission is to improve life by enabling innovation in electronic products, is hiring Assistant Director, Operations for our Plants at Taoyuan, Taiwan.

THE ROLE

Lead, direct, and control the day-to-day activities of production, engineering, facility & maintenance, quality in Taoyuan plants to achieve safety, quality, output and cost (SQOC) targets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate all operations functions (production, scheduling, quality, facility, warehouse) to maximize the output targets, drive for performance improvement, reduce conversion cost and lead time.

• Develop a team of talent pool with operational responsibilities to ensure that the organization achieves its business objectives and complies with industry standard (EICC) and relevant regulations and laws.

• Work closely with sales, supply chain and R&D teams to achieve high level of customer satisfactions.

• Actively and continuously interact with manufacturing and engineering counterparts to ensure quality and reliability requirements are well defined, understood, incorporated and met in our processes.

• Define and specify the implementation of standards, methods, metrics and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products.

• Manage and improve companywide quality metrics that measure key performance indicators (KPI) for operations, engineering and sales.

• Establish & achieve stretched targets,

• Implement EHS programs and carry out regular risk assessment and follow up actions at site level. Collaborate with Global EHS team to escalate global objectives into practices. Ensure a safe and healthy environment is provided at the plant.

• Prepare operations budgets and proposals for capital expenditure and investment in facility and equipment, system best meet the operational needs and maximize capabilities.

• Participate in global / regional operation excellence project when required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or engineering disciplines. Minimum 10 years management experience in multinational manufacturing organizations preferably laminate or semiconductor industry.

• Strong analytical and technical skills (a problem solver) to work with R&D teams on product performance issues.

• Demonstrated strong leadership skills in driving performance of direct and indirect labor.

• Able to communication effectively with other counterpart in support functions such as supply chain, human resources, finance and sales within global Isola organization.

• Excellent verbal / written communication in English and interpersonal skills with people of different nationalities.

• Well practical knowledge of 6-sigma, lean manufacturing, EHS standards, supply chain operations.

• Encourage and drive for personal development of subordinates.

• Advanced skills with MS Office Products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
