Job Description

You will have the opportunity to bring Vuori designs to life. As an Assistant Colorist and Material Developer, you will use your knowledge of trends, colors, fabric, and processes to bring innovative designs to market. You will establish processes to help optimize the team, providing clarity and organization. This role links design, merchandising, development, planning, production and the factories.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Following up on urgent L/D request from US office with supplier for ETA
• Following up on Color Fastness failure case from bulk for ETA, which may include resubmissions and improvements
• Sending review comments to the supplier
• Filing L/D, approved 1st bulk lot and subsequent dye lots keeping
• Sort out the golden samples and create a system or record for daily storage management.
• Manage all the approval packages with records, including those approved and released from HQ, forward them to vendors, update the internal records, and track communication with vendors.
• Own all inbound and outbound packages addressed to the materials team, HQ and vendors.
• Managed sueding-level submissions from vendors, handled package coordination, and handled email communication.
  

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Textiles, Merchandising, or Manufacturing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in product development, merchandising, and textiles, with experience in color management strongly preferred.
• Sense of fashion and trends in the market
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills with emphasis on Google/Google Docs/Illustrator/Excel/PLM and other systems
• Aptitude for systems and systematic work
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to maintain relationships effectively with cross-functional and internal teams.
• Experience with the use of light booth and/or supporting color software.
• Color proficient to superior level (Munsell Hue color test will be administered).
• Prior experience of exposure and travel to dye mills is a plus
  

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

• International travel experience is a plus; possible international travel is required.
• Willing and able to work additional hours when needed.
• Bend, lift, open, and move product and related office items varying in weight from 1 to 25lbs, depending on need.
  

Additional Information

U.S. pay range: $25,000 - $28,000

Taiwan pay range: 798332.50 - 894132.40
