Main Purpose:

Taoglas is looking for an experienced engineering manager, capable of establishing and driving an effective engineering and R&D function. Deliver the ambitious customer focused product roadmap while bringing new thinking to our development processes.

Responsibilities:

Engineering

• Manage APAC engineering team. (Deploy local support to help) Antenna, hardware, mechanical and NPI engineering.
• Follow current engineering systems and processes development.
• Working with CTO and other Engineering Directors to unite the engineering team globally and increase team’s efficiency and creativity.
• Working with CTO on IP to ensure we protect the most relevant ideas and save cost
• Support the product roadmap with reference to regional requirements is delivered on time and on cost.
• Ensuring the right technical approach is taken on major projects
• Complete implementing Teamcenter and ensure it used globally by 2021
• Integrate Toggl globally
• Update Engineering KPI for APAC and link them with Global Eng KPIs.
• Work closely with cross-functional team members within APAC and spread out across the globe to influence and lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist new project development (IOT/APAC/NASAC/EMEA)
• Confirmation of new development tooling situation
• Recognized subject matter expert in mechanical component technologies, design practices, specialty materials, fabrication methods, cost dynamics and quality assurance systems
• BOM built on SAP system

Collaboration and relationship management

• Inspection of new raw material and product dimension/New raw materials pass full recognition process/Confirm that the supplier provides the accuracy of the material.
• Developing relationships with outsourced partners, suppliers, Universities and to deliver best in class solutions for our customers
• Survey and audit new supplier
• Working with marketing and sales to create innovative and highly profitable product.
• Support APAC sales managers for key projects

Team Management

Qualifications/Skills:

• MSc in Engineering or Management desirable
• Antenna Design experience desirable
• 10 years Engineering and Project Management experience
• Work experience in antenna, wireless industry focused on automotive, IOT, consumer electronics or Industrial application is preferable.

• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally
• Ability to lead a team and implement multiple large/complex and mission-critical project
• Proactive, Results Driven, Communication Proficiency
• Excellent leadership and team leading experience
• Familiarity with injection moulding, proficient in using Solidworks, Familiar with Altium and CST for antenna design. Solidworks with CSWA / CSWP certification is preferable. Basic MS Office skills.
