  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electromagnetics, Communication, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in consumer electronics with relevant antenna design and validation expertise.
  • Experience in cellular systems feature bring-up, validation, and issue resolution.
  • Experience with antenna impedance tuner and aperture tuner, and open-loop and close-loop antenna active tuning.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Electromagnetics or Communication Engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in consumer electronics with relevant antenna design and validation expertise.
  • Familiar with antenna impedance tuner and aperture tuner, open-loop and close-loop antenna active tuning.
  • Experience in Electromagnetics antenna simulation to extend the scenarios to include highly complex environments. Solid cross-functional knowledge in PD, RF, EE, desense.
  • Extensive knowledge and experiences in driving cross-functional collaboration and system level optimization for consumer electronics development.
  • Proficient in developing test plans to evaluate performance, identify the root cause of any discrepancies, and troubleshoot problems with devices and test platforms.

About The Job

As an Antenna System Performance Engineer, you’ll have a background in developing 4G (LTE) and 5G (NR) antenna architecture and concepts for mobile devices. You will play a key role in driving best-in-class system performance by combining cellular, GNSS/GPS, WiFi information, with the knowledge of Tuner, MTPL, TxAS, TAS features and their interplay.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration in Radio Frequency (RF) and Over-the-Air (OTA) testing and debugging to validate and achieve the best antenna system performance.
  • Drive Modem Systems/Antenna/RF/Software/Test teams to bring-up, validate, and test complex cellular system features.
  • Develop validation test plans to examine and optimize the interaction and algorithms of antenna system features in simulated test environments.
  • Chair validation testing across all phases (definition, testing, debugging, verification of test results, optimization, and reporting) to achieve outstanding antenna system performance.
  • Identify and recommend creative ways to leverage and/or enhance existing practices. Conduct analytical study on the measurement data to define advanced performance metrics. Review and understand new industry standards, advanced testing technologies, and evolved wireless requirements for broader product areas.
