Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience coding with a general purpose programming language (C/C++).
  • Experience with Wi-Fi framework development.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in Python/Shell script.
  • Experience with application software development.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux environments and the development of Linux device drivers.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

As a Firmware Engineer, you will work on projects critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our business grows and evolves. You’ll work on the software stack for future android devices. You will also help architect, develop, test, and deploy complex embedded consumer devices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support Android Wireless Connectivity features for Pixel devices.
  • Address a variety of System on Chip (SoCs), and work with partners and vendors.
  • Investigate and address the root cause of firmware/software issues.
