Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Purpose Of The Position
  • Perform monthly unit cost fcst and support plant to deliver target
  • Assist Plant with annual budget and 5 year plan preparation
  • Build and maintain cost models to provide financial support for various manufacturing planning.
  • Capital management, planning reporting
  • Support Plant expense analysis or cost comparison
  • Work with cost reduction initiatives with cross function
  • Support Plant/Division for daily operations and ad-hoc analysis
Day To Day Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly unit cost fcst based on planning and track fcst accuracy
  • Assists the controller by leading the monthly financial closing, reporting and forecasting processes.
  • Provides Finance knowledge and decision support to the plant management to achieve plant goals and objectives.
  • Provides ad-hoc financial analysis for plant staff and Division leaders about cost reductions, and other initiatives as required.
  • Assists the controller to prepare budgeting systems, preparation of financial and management reports, and presentation of risk and opportunity.
  • Monitor daily operations of the business unit and actively assists to Monitors spending and works with department managers to control costs.
  • Supports the function and business unit to drive process improvement.
  • Coordinate capital project with Finance team and engineers to improve forecast process for accuracy ’Perform effective internal control practice
Education & Experience
  • BS in Finance/Accounting
  • 5+ years min, Manufacturing costing or audit firm experiences preferred

  • Ability to work under pressure, work independently and flexible in supporting others when needed
  • Proactive, open-minded, willing to share knowledge and expertise
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and link to business implications
  • Good analytical skills, presentation skills and problem- solving capability
