About Our Client

Our client is an MNC market leader in the entertainment industry. They are expanding their operation in Taiwan and need an experienced Head of Finance to help with the team in Taiwan.

Job Description

• Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company and oversee the financial and operational control to ensure satisfactory controls, compliance and processes are in place.
• Ensure integrity of all financial reporting.
• Maintain financial procedures and systems for financial control including management accounts.
• Manage all aspects of company’s P&L and Balance Sheet ensuring all risks and opportunities are identified and properly accounted for.
• Responsible for the monthly closing process and ensure timely process.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting and provide the dashboard or have business related discussion with MD and business head.
• Prepare artist deal memo and financial model and analysis.
• Key player in the rolling forecast and annual budget preparation.
• Participate in strategic data analysis and research for senior company leadership.
• Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests.
• Produce proper KPI, financial and management reports to the leadership team to support monthly, quarterly and year-end targets achievements. Monitor all KPI’s and develop new KPI’s as the business requirements.
• Internal and external audit relationships and process for all statutory and internal audit matters.
• Monitor internal control process to ensure compliance with global requirements, work with finance team for internal control testing and ensure qualified deliverables to corporate team.
• Ensure all statutory reviews are properly and timely executed.
• Ensure corrective actions are being implemented as per findings or recommendations.
• Oversee and manage all tax matters related to TW operations.
• Liaise with teams and global Tax department for any tax matters including. intercompany operations or tax optimization.
• Oversee and manage all IT related matters to ensure a smooth operation.
  
  

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead, develop and grow a best in class finance team. Create clear accountabilities, maximizing employee performance, providing mentoring and coaching, etc. to ensure the right people in the right roles to achieve business objectives.
• Effectively communicate, develop, motivate, appraise performance manage the Finance and Royalties teams.
• Support cross functional working.
  

The Successful Applicant

8 to 10+ years’ experience in financial and business partnering management roles, with record of successful and effective financial planning and audit controls experience.

• Bachelor + degree and accounting degree (CPA or equivalent) is a plus.
• MNC working experience with strong compliance background.
• Proactive business results-focus, and proven ability to provide insights with business benefit.
• Excellent financial modelling and control process design abilities; strong experience of using business supportive technology to drive improved efficiencies in the finance function
• Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
• Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners
• Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills, influencing/negotiating skills
• Proven demonstration of principled leadership, business ethics, and consistency among integrity, values and behaviours
• Fluent in English
