We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Opto-Electronics Test Engineer for the Chip measurement and characterization.

You will be playing roles in executing different types of process measurement related to optical and electrical test of VCSEL devices.

You will be part of an excellent multidisciplinary team from optoelectronics and FAB.

Job Description/Responsibilities

Production:
  • Ensure successful and continuous operation of the WLT systems with regard to system uptime
  • Maintenance test setups as well as liaise with vendors to do the calibration.
  • Search, analyze and fix when production, quality or system problems occur
  • Support and train the production team in commissioning and using WLT- systems for a smooth and continuous production flow

Creating and maintaining WLT-measuring program:
  • Maintaining existing measuring programs and testing routines of Opto-Electronic devices at Wafer level
  • Creating measuring programs for new products in cooperation with the Chip Design team
  • Support the adaptation of equipment from hands-on process measurement to high-volume automatic manufacturing test platforms
  • Continuous improvement of the existing measuring programs in terms of Quality control, throughput and cost optimization following the production release instruction

Data analysis, Quality control:
  • Data programming
  • Data evaluation for process and product control
  • Implementation of routines for tester to tester correlations
  • Planning and execution of gage R&R studies
  • Development of routines for tester control and stability checks
  • Technical communication with customer and technical experts in the organization
  • Sub project lead
  • Monitoring measurement results for quality assurance
  • Statistical evaluation of measurement results for yield- and quality analysis and optimization
  • Supporting product development, -qualification and -characterization
  • Ensuring secure data storage of the measurement results

Qualifications/Desired Skills:
  • A university degree in electronic engineering, semiconductor physics or equivalent
  • Good skills in statistics and use of statistic software tools for data analysis
  • Experience in data management and data evaluation
  • Good knowledge of quality assurance methods
  • Experience with data analysis and solid statistical skills (MATLAB, Minitab, JMP)
  • Experience with Sound knowledge in lab automation (Python or LabVIEW)
  • Hands-on test experience in optoelectronics test engineering and high-volume manufacturing
  • Experience with Chroma, TEL or FormFactor test systems preferred
  • Skills in Office- Applikation
  • A communicative and team-oriented approach
  • High quality awareness, and a very service orientated and independent, result-orientated approach to work
