Job Description
  • Reports to the Sr. Director Human Resources (global) with a matrix reporting to the General Manager of Asia
  • Administers compensation, benefits and performance management systems
  • Identifies staff vacancies and recruits, interviews and selects applicants
  • Collaboratively develop, implement, and manage Performance Management initiatives
  • Provide consultation and oversight on all talent processes, such as succession management, talent assessment, selection processes, training and development, career management, performance management
  • Manage performance, succession and talent planning processes to efficiently and effectively integrate talent management as a business process led by business leaders and supported by HR
  • Provides current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits
  • Performs wide range of employee relations duties, including meeting staffing needs, resolving disputes, and administering disciplinary procedures up to and including discharge
  • Advises managers on organizational policy matters and recommends needed changes; manages employee records.
  • Analyzes and modifies compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements
  • Serves as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies and helping resolve work-related problems
  • Plans, directs, supervises, and coordinates work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation and employee relations
  • Analyzes training needs to design employee development, language training and health and safety programs.
  • Analyzes statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization’s personnel policies and practices
  • Plans, organizes, directs, controls or coordinates the personnel, training, or employee relations activities of the organization
  • Investigates grievances and/or complaints from employees for the purpose of reaching resolutions that provide a healthy work environment
  • Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as temporary employees, search firms, or relocation services
The Successful Applicant

Requirements:* Work Experience: 7 years’ experience in Human Resources Management with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role; 7 years of Organizational Development (OD), talent management, and leadership development experience; experience in building/expanding OD and talent management capabilities in mid to large organizations; significant breadth of knowledge on commonly used training concepts, interventions, practices, and procedures. Bilingual with fluent written and oral English skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organization Development, Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Computer Skills: Prior experience working with HRIS systems; experience working with Performance Management and Learning Management systems; intermediate Excel skills and experience with reporting analytics tools.
  • Organization Skills: Excellent organizational, ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed.
  • Cross-functional Skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally; engages and builds effective relationships across the organization; provides excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to influence and possesses organizational savvy; executive presence/impact are critical to success; ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information; ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; strong interpersonal skills. Bilingual with fluent written and oral English skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: High-level of resourcefulness; excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to provide easily understood solutions; demonstrates execution skills (strategy through implementation).
  • Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: Ability to read, write, type; sitting and standing for long periods of time up to 8 hours per day.
  • Physical Environment: Normal office environment; the potential of exposure to moving equipment if proper safety procedures are not followed.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
