Job Description

As а Product Manager you will be responsible for Video Surveillance products and will play an important role in shaping software-driven solutions at Bosch Building Technologies. Your contributions will make a direct difference to our customers and take our product and product service offerings to the next level.   • Clear product management responsibility for an important part of Video Systems business including IP recording solutions, Video Management Software appliances, Network Video recorders, workstations, servers and storage, especially related to hardware and system platform management.
  • Act as a core team member within this global role and as part of the product management team for Security Solutions in Business Unit Video Systems to combine the chosen hardware platforms with application software into a system solution for the customers.
  • Contribute to product and service development by anticipating IT and Security market trends, end-user and customer needs.
  • Analyze IT and Security market situation and take actions to gain market share and improve market positioning.
  • Conduct competitive and market analyses (e.g. portfolio including pricing) and provide related strategies.
  • Collaborate with agile video management and application software development teams to insure system approach to product development and product lifecycle management.
  • Actively contribute to the project teams supporting purchasing department and central product management team in the HQ.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or natural sciences.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience within the security / IT industry preferably with IP video recording and storage solutions.
  • Profound background in product management complemented by strong affinity to technical as well as commercial topics
  • Strong skills in project management, able to solve problems, analyze systems and data and proactively suggest appropriate solutions
  • Experience must also include having worked with marketing teams, project management and customers
  • Proven content leadership skills, proactive and autonomous style of working
  • Ability to prioritize customer needs, translate them into user stories, product vision and product roadmap
  • Relevant experience in managing IT hardware products will be a strong plus
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of writing reports and business correspondence and interacting with internal and external stakeholders
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time, domestic and international.
