Our client is a manufacturing company that offers a comprehensive suite of services encompassing product design, production, and operations management. Their diverse service portfolio spans various areas, including fabrication and assembly, supply chain management, sourcing and procurement, integrated design and engineering, among others. They assist their clients in minimizing manufacturing and transportation expenses while enhancing their supply chain efficiency.

Job Summary

The Technical Project Manager will lead engineering project teams focused on white box server product development. They will oversee significant engineering projects, managing them from ideation through production.

Also effectively manage a group of related projects through the entire product development process into production in a coordinated manner. Directly manage matrixed cross-functional program team consisting of engineering, manufacturing, contracts, procurement, quality, administrative, and other departments assigned to the program. Embrace continual/rigor review, analysis, change across program-level components to support program outcome through active promotion of value management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise multiple engineering projects dedicated to white box server product applications.
• Represent our client’s Design Engineering in technical customer discussions and high-profile engagements.
• Manage matrixed cross-functional program teams involving engineering, manufacturing, contracts, procurement, quality, and administrative departments.
• Collaborate with Program Managers and Core teams during the quoting and design phases.
• Oversee the complete product development process from end-to-end execution.
• Directly manage remote development teams for successful project outcomes.
• Develop and implement platform and product architectures in collaboration with senior technical staff.
• Mentor all engineering staff to enhance competencies and foster growth.
• Stay updated with the latest technology and techniques to ensure competitive and cost-effective designs.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (BS/MS/MBA) or equivalent education.
• 12+ years’ experience in Technical Project Management/Design Manager (DM)/Engineering Project Manager (EPM).
• 10+ years of server product management experience
• Demonstrated success in R&D team management is preferred.
• PMP (PMI) or PRINCE2 Certification is preferable.

Job Qualifications

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to develop mathematical models of physical reality and solve them, then implement the results.
