Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development experience in embedded domain.
• Programming experience in C/C++.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• 8 years of software development experience in embedded domain.
• Experience working on input sensing technologies such as touch, stylus.
• Experience in designing algorithms.
• Ability to speak and write in English fluently.

Pixel System software team builds amazing state of art features and Google software experiences on Pixel devices. Our team is responsible for delivering high quality touch and sensing features for Pixel users. We work on cutting edge technologies, from architecture and design of the framework, driver development to designing and implementing algorithms running in low power, high performance mode.

Android has become the world’s most popular mobile ecosystem, powering billions of devices, from smartphones to tablets, watches to TVs and everything in between. Whether adding to the core Android experience, forging new markets for digital content, creating immersive and portable versions of our products or managing relationships with a global community of developers, the Mobile team is giving you Google on the go.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop excellent touch features, low level drivers, and machine learning algorithms.
• Optimize memory, power, and performance for custom SoCs.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Android/UX/Hardware) to bring out the best touch experiences for Pixel devices.
• Diagnose and debug issues reported by test teams and internal users.
• Create tools and utilities to expand automated test coverage and in-field monitoring.
