About The Job

As part of the Pixel System Power team, you will work with teams spanning the entire software and hardware stack to define, prototype, optimize, and bring to the consumer devices software solutions that deliver awesome user experiences.

You will focus on power and performance aspects of the software design, data flow analysis, and improving the experiences of testers and users. You will also be responsible for coordinating efforts with teams across Android platforms, applications, and hardware teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional hardware and software teams to model power consumption and define goals
• Analyze and optimize the software running across the key components of the system on a chip (SoC) such as central processing unit (CPU), GPU, memory subsystem, and connectivity
• Debug and resolve battery drain issues
• Collaborate with Android app teams across Google to help them optimize power
• Develop tools and tests for validating and monitoring power consumption
