Description

Ring is looking for a Strategic Procurement Manager to join our operations team in Taipei.

Responsibilities
  • Own Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) relationships and manage business escalations.
  • Lead ODM/Contract Manufacturer (CM) selection, contract negotiation, and product cost management.
  • Provide overall management and support for business negotiations covering cost, supply, and vendor funding agreements.
  • Collaborate with the product, supplier quality, and engineering teams to maintain a supplier sourcing strategy that aligns technology, business requirements, and roadmap with supplier capabilities.
  • Deliver affordability analysis and financial modeling on checkpoints before Request for Proposal / Request for Quotation (RFP/RFQ) to ensure product specification and gross margin match expectations.
  • Manage cost from RFQ from beginning to end as well as Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) repair.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings optimization.
  • Establish a monthly cost review process.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to assess current and future sourcing requirements.
  • Conduct initial ground-up estimations, projections, and design-for-cost processes.
  • Establish a regular process for potential ODM assessments.
  • Manage overall supplier relationships including supplier performance, capability development, cost, and quality improvements.
  • Generate opportunities for cost savings and supply chain optimization.
  • Perform and communicate supply chain cost forecasting or revenue opportunities based on trend analysis and market conditions.
  • Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, service, and technology.
  • Drive quarterly supplier business reviews that defines market and business analysis, roadmaps, supplier capabilities, and annual / quarterly strategic business objectives.
Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience managing ODM/OEM vendors working for global enterprise consumer electronics brands.
  • In-depth knowledge of factory operations and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to develop efficient work processes for complex projects involving many groups and across multiple geographies, and effectively coordinate, implement, and maintain those processes.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with cross-functional teams (internally & externally).
  • 10+ plus years of procurement experience in manufacturing and consumer electronics.
  • Significant experience in a variety of manufacturing and/or planning environments.
  • Background in managing international relationships and remote organizations.
  • Strong analytical skills, including cost modeling, quotation analysis, and supplier selection.
  • Experience leading strategy development in supply chain management and optimization.
  • A team player with leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
