Summary

This position leads the development and growth of direct import categories and manage suppliers to ensure a stable supply chain. The sourcing manager is responsible for identifying opportunities to grow private brand product lines by having an in-depth understanding on product, supplier landscape and retail knowledge.

The manager must be a strong project leader who can multi-function, develop strategies, and facilitate project processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans with respect to project objectives and company goals.
  • Identify potential suppliers and perform factory visits and evaluations.
  • Nominate suppliers who are capable of supporting company private brand/ direct import categories and growth.
  • Negotiate the best possible cost vs. performance and develop supplier relationships (trade shows, supplier meetings, conferences, etc.)
  • Lead and perform the analysis, recommendation, and implementation of sourcing project.
  • Lead and monitor project intermediate steps; create collaborative communications with other functional departments and the USA headquarter to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with supporting teams to monitor and improve factory performances (service, quality, and delivery)
  • Collaborate with U.S. global sourcing team to support category growth and provide sourcing alternatives for merchandising teams.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Proven sourcing experiences with strong problem solving skills.
  • Familiar with retail operations, category management and planogram resets.
  • Familiar with car parts, car accessories and relevant manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Ability to travel abroad for factory visits.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills. Able to lead supporting teams and deliver results.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills both oral and written.
  • Strong Microsoft WORD, EXCEL and PowerPoint.
  • Passion for learning, integrity, and commitment to quality.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or related area in sales or international trading, and 5+ years’ experience.
  • 3+ year’s team management experience.
