Job Summary Job Description Solution Consulting –Senior Manager/Consultant (Technical Stream) Primary Job Description
  • The role will play a key role in providing architectural guidance, consultancy, development and implementation of complex, multi-tiered, and distributed software applications. The candidate will provide leadership and guidance to the team members on aspects of design and development in client solution implementations efforts. Individual has to be a representative for the proper adoption of software development methods and technologies. The individual is experienced and fully competent and can apply/share own expertise to a range of activities and is viewed as a more seasoned source of technical and/or domain expertise, especially in the Compliance and Fraud Management area.
  • Take end to end ownership of the technical design and implementation of FICO Fraud & AML Compliance solutions for Taiwan-based customers
  • Conducting / participating in Project Kick-off workshops, Solution Integration and design discussions, product demonstrations and documenting customer expectations in a way the team can implement the solutions
  • Responsible for defining all aspects of solution architecture, design standards and clearly understand and defend trade-offs made.
  • Directly engage with the Client for requirement analysis and clarifications and play a key role in outlining the technical architecture of the solution.
  • Provides leadership to technical resources to meet project deadlines and ensure project objectives are met in an efficient way.
  • Integration and customization of solutions including building bridge interfaces, data transformation layers, ETL, etc. including identifying the right technology solution for the given problem statement, design, development, testing, packaging and releasing to various environments
  • Installation, configuration, documentation, and deployment of FICO’s solution and custom components internally and at customer sites
  • Consult, Guide and Engage with customer through the integration testing, performance testing, user acceptance testing, security testing and various other testing cycles the project may deem necessary
  • Provides leadership to technical resources to meet project deadlines and ensure project objectives are met in an efficient way.
  • Ensures that code artifacts produced are of the highest quality, conforming to set or agreed upon standard. Should advocate such consistency to all members of the team.
  • Provides realistic and accurate estimates and continuously improve on team productivity to achieve on-time Delivery.
  • Follows the software engineering processes, agile practices and motivates his/her team members to do so.
  • Escalates and communicates issues, risks and concerns to the management on time.
  • Accepts project delivery responsibilities and demonstrate accountability to leadership. Technical Skills and Experiences
  • Masters or Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Technology in Computer Sciences, Computer Applications or such similar stream
  • 15-20 years of relevant IT experience in a financial services sector that processes high volume transactions
  • Preferably prior working experience at a Software Vendor in the AML/KYC/Compliance space or prior extensive working experience in software application space in the banking and financial industry.
  • A good understanding of Architectural and Design patterns.
  • Very good leadership skills with the ability to lead multiple development teams.
  • A good understanding of Software Engineering Best Practices and ability to define and drive this within the teams.
  • Very good understanding and experience in design and implementation of enterprise applications.
  • Strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills (including English language skills) and the ability to interact promptly and professionally with teams across different time zones.
  • Ability to work in a team environment collaboratively with positive attitude.
  • Ability to learn new technologies rapidly and share knowledge with other team members.
  • Strong Experience or Knowledge in the following areas:
  • Linux/windows server administration
  • Command line interface and basic scripting (shell etc.)
  • Java Programming Language and related frameworks (JEE, Spring, Hibernate, etc.) in previous jobs
  • Thorough understanding of working on Physical and Virtual environment
  • Internet protocols and standards (e.g. IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS)
  • RDBMS databases like MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server
  • Exposure/Experience in NoSQL databases like MongoDB will be an added advantage
  • Strong familiarity with app servers, web servers and load balancing technologies
  • Hands-on experience in current or previous job in deploying, configuring and maintaining web, java and open source applications on Linux (RHEL, windows, CentOS etc.) is required
  • Working knowledge of software version control concepts and change management processes
  • Good command over English in addition to Mandarin and can conduct meetings with clients and internal teams using English. Why Make a Move to FICO?
