• 2 years of experience managing or leading technical team.
• Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java).

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in machine learning, algorithms, data infrastructure, data analysis, and system evaluation and testing.
• Experience in driving product excellence through well-defined quality metrics and metrics-oriented optimization.
• Excellent ownership and problem solving skills, with the ability to learn or grow.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of machine learning infrastructure, and apply machine learning techniques to support Google Home.
• Set the technical goal for machine learning infrastructure and applied machine learning.
• Work with stakeholders to define and prioritize the roadmap for machine learning infrastructure and applied ML, including understanding the business needs and translating them into technical requirements, identifying and remediating roadblocks in data collection, processing, training, architecture search, performance optimization, testing, and deployment.
• Coach and grow other team members on design techniques and coding standards.
