Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience in software engineering, and coding experience in Python.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in Linux system, networking system, and security fundamentals.
• Experience maintaining RedHat-based Linux distributions at scale.
• Experience in Network Filesystems - NFS, Lustre, Cloud Filestore.
• Experience in Infrastucture-as-code, Configuration-as-code, or Cloud computing such as Google Compute Engine (GCE).
• Experience with revision control systems, such as Fig/Mercurial, Piper, and Git/Google open source.
• Experience in writing code to automate monitoring or data analysis (Python, Shell, JavaScript, Go, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced environment aimed at delivering Google’s hardware products on schedule by using Google Cloud Platform and internal infrastructure tools.
• Design new infrastructure solutions using Google-specific and industry standard building blocks.
• Provide support to end users in the use of the infrastructure.
• Work to audit and improve the security of our Google Cloud infrastructure.
