• 2 years of experience in engineering, building or maintaining enterprise scale services
• 2 years of experience in engineering, building user facing products

• Experience with Android development in Kotlin or Java

As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with a uniquely innovative and passionate team to maintain, improve, and build new feature components for the Pixel essential experience, such as Alarm clock, Calculator, Recorder, Weather, and more. The work often involves using, or even developing, next-generation technology ranging from ML to enterprise server architect to crafting future Android apps. You will have the opportunity to build Android apps either in Java or Kotlin, make incremental changes to Android platform, build and make server updates, and collaborate with ML experts.

Responsibilities

• Build mission critical user facing product components to ensure high quality and timely launch, making direct impact to Pixel’s OKRs.
• Work with a direct team and cross-functional partners to continuously explore technology/architecture choices.
• Partner with domain experts to shape future product definition with privacy and security in mind in the era of Gen AI.
