Site Manager-Deputy

We are looking for a Deputy Site Manager to join our newly establish Special projects team in the Vestas ASP region. If you would like to work in an international and innovative company where we work shoulder to shoulder every day to become the global leader in the offshore wind market. We are looking for candidates with great leadership and organizational skills. In the Service department you will work in close collaboration with Site managers and Project Managers for Special projects team and O/M sites both on and offshore. Together you will ensure that global uniformed processes and procedures are implemented and adhered to Vestas standards. You will also ensure daily operations of projects on site, including management of external contractors, reporting of both basic and advanced assignments.

Responsibilities
  • Plan resources such as Supervisors, AT’s and Technicians during the execution phase of the projects
  • Support planning and ordering of spare parts for the projects
  • Ensure correct tools are ordered and delivered for the projects
  • Ensure correct documentation are available for the resources and teams who carry out the work on-site
  • Compliance to Vestas Health and Safety Management system
  • Supervise a team of contractors
  • Project day-to-day planning and execution
  • Coordinate tasks with the local O/M
  • Register consumed parts
  • Ensure daily reporting
  • Coordinate Vessel transfer with local O/M
Travel is a significant part of the job as you will be working on- and offshore at our windfarm sites in ASP. Increased workload during summer periods should be expected. In low seasons, it is expected that you will work back office, where you will be following up on project Lessons Learned and support planning new projects.

Qualifications

We believe our ideal candidate has or is:
  • Technical background,
  • At least 5-8 years of experience working with wind turbine service and maintenance/repair and troubleshooting, e.g. in the offshore industry
  • Solid leadership skills and are proficient in the supervisor role
  • Able to navigate in a ever-growing environment where priorities can vary from one day to the next
  • Great organizational skills

  • Have solid communication skills, able to communicate in a professional and comprehensible way
  • Are responsible and result orientated.
  • Are fluent in English, both oral and in writing
  • Have basic IT skills (Word, Excel, SAP etc.)
  • Are familiar with the Wind Turbine Safety Rules and have a good HSEQ mindset, promoting a safety culture
