Minimum qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience managing teams and a background in CPU architecture, performance, or microarchitecture.
• Experience in ARM or RISC-V architecture, or CPU microarchitecture.
• Experience with full cycle CPU design process.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
• 20 years of experience with microprocessor architecture, performance, and design.
  
  

About The Job

As a Senior Technical Manager, Advanced CPU, you’ll lead the team to deliver improved processor instruction set architecture and innovative microarchitecture features that will be implemented in Google’s advanced CPU IPs. You’ll work with other engineers and management to define projects that align with the advanced CPU business goals. Enabling collaboration within your team and with other design and software teams. You’ll oversee projects, plan resources, conduct interviews and hiring, manage performance, coach employees, and motivate the team to facilitate a healthy and respectful working environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of CPU architecture and performance engineers working on workload characterization, performance modeling, performance analysis, competitive analysis, and microarchitecture exploration.
• Work with engineers and management to define short-term and long-term project plans.
• Collaborate with design and software teams to evaluate architecture and microarchitecture ideas.
• Co-lead the Taiwan functional teams of the Advanced CPU group.
• Participate in overseeing projects, planning resources, hiring new team members, and managing performance.
