Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the traders to improve trading results using data insights
• Conducting predictive analytics using historical data (e.g., fundamental forecasting of wind power generation or demand)
• Researching and developing new systematic trading strategies and back-testing
• Building Python-based data analysis and visualization tools that monitor and optimize our trading strategies
• Creating and streamlining data pipelines to extract, transform and load data streams from various sources
• Mentoring, managing and leading the data scientists in the analytics team
• Guide in building our data infrastructure and data pipelines
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or PhD qualification in a relevant subject including Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or any highly quantitative subject
• Having 3+ years of experience in building statistical models and having experience in mathematical data analysis, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• 3+ years of experience with Python data manipulation and analysis using libraries like Pandas, NumPy and SciPy is highly desirable
• Strong skills with distributed data/computing tools
• The ability to present complex ideas with data to expedite decision making
• Familiarity with the electricity domain would be a plus
• Familiarity with the trading domain would be a plus
• Outstanding communication skills with an ability to communicate well with multiple stakeholders
• Strong team building and management skills are highly desirable
• Ability to think clearly in critical situations
