Minimum qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Radio Frequency, and/or Electromagnetic’s, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience designing RF solutions for Consumer Electronics.
  • Experience with board design/bring-up, desense mitigation, factory processes, and manufacturing.
  • Experience with different wireless communication systems (e.g., 5G NR/LTE/UMTS/GSM/GNSS, 802.11, Bluetooth, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with Radio Frequency design.
  • Experience and knowledge of RF design in consumer products, and use of RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, protocol and signaling testers, and/or antenna chambers).
  • Familiarity with simulation tools and/or circuit simulation capability (e.g., Advanced Design System (ADS), scripting and automation tools for data collection/analysis).
  • Familiarity with schematic creation and PCB design.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., FCC, IC, CE, etc.), carrier specifications, 3GPP, and their respective certification process.
  • Excellent board-level and firmware debug skills.

As a Radio Frequency (RF) Hardware Engineer, you will be part of a design team building Consumer Electronics products in emerging areas. Involvement will begin at the product concept and continue to mass production. You will be involved in cross-functional team engagement, and define the overall product architecture to achieve best RF performance.

Responsibilities

  • Define architecture, specification, design, and test boards for innovative consumer electronics devices.
  • Design and optimize RF system solutions including cellular technologies (e.g., 5G NR, LTE, UMTS, GSM, GNSS, and/or WLAN, BT).
  • Design for volume manufacturing and support factory engineers from prototyping to product launch.
  • Be responsible for PCB design for optimal RF performance.
  • Work with component vendors and partners to develop the RF front-end.
