Systems Design Group is looking for an R&D engineer to work on current and next-generation compilers for its FPGA-based emulation platformsRoles And Responsibilities
  • Research and development of various customer requirements and performance optimizations. Focus areas include advanced clocking, user-constraints support, memory compilers and optimization, system-level routing optimizations.
  • Responsible for development, testing, and fine-tuning of CAD/EDA algorithms. Target high quality of results such as performance, area, compile-time, congestion, etc.
  • Design, implement, test, deliver and maintain high-quality, efficient data structures and algorithms in a multi-threaded framework using C++ to handle multi-billion gate designs.
  • Be proficient in advanced software engineering tools and development processes related to documentation and coding practices, memory and runtime profiling, coverage, unit testing, etc.
Required Skills
  • Ph.D./Master’s degree in electrical and/or Computer Engineering with 6+ years of experience, preferably in the EDA/Semiconductor industry. C++ / C++ 11 Object-oriented programming skills / design patterns.
  • Strong algorithms background. Proficient in multi-threaded and distributed software development.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work with international teams spread in different locations/time zones) etc.
Highly desirable
  • Familiarity with industry-standard SW development and quality practices
  • Experience with FPGAs is a plus
  • Background in machine learning is a plus
  • Skillful in using scripting languages such as TCL, Python, Perl, Unix shell scripts
  • Results-oriented and agile
  • Desire to learn and explore unfamiliar concepts, tools, and techniques
