In This Role, You Will Focus On The FollowingMaxLinear is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join our Interface Marketing team responsible for products including Ethernet, Serial Transceiver, and Bridge products, as well as future expansion of Interface products.
- Maximize market share of Interface products by working with sales and customers, gaining a keen understanding of future needs of Tier1 customers
- Manage product positioning and pricing at new and existing customers, and drive efforts for design wins and forecast revenue associated
- Partner with Interface Product Marketing, Applications Engineering, and Marcom to generate the tools and documentation needed to maximize the value and impact of our leading-edge interface products
- Create close relationships with key decision makers at lead customers and technology partners
- Develop, implement, and manage plans for product launches including documentation, sales collateral, presentation, and positioning to maximize the potential of new products
- Train direct sales team and channel partners
- Collaborate with Interface Marketing team members to create new product definitions and roadmaps that will secure our market leadership and drive significant revenue growth
- Collaborate with Interface Marketing team to develop business plans, Marketing Requirements Documents (MRDs), Competition, and Return-on-Investment (ROI) analysis to support new product development executive approval and development kickoff
- Engage with 3rd party technology partners in the development and promotion of joint reference designs
- Research and analyze market opportunities, trends, and competitive pressures to develop effective product management strategies and roadmap
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment with needs of marketing and customers
- Support preparation of monthly and quarterly forecast for financial and supply management
- Chip vendor experience with extensive knowledge of the silicon chip industry and the competition and knowledge of industry standards, trends and future operator plans
- Track-record of success leading aggressive, results-driven marketing and business development strategies and initiatives
- Extensive experience in engaging and managing ODM, OEM customers, and 3rd party technology partners
- Experience leading the talk between sales, customer, FAE / AE for RFQ or RFI
- ODM/OEM experience to deeper understand customer point of view and come out strategy with sales to win business from OEM/ODM
- Success influencing opinions and actions of key stakeholders within their organization, customers, and partners
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including market research and data gathering, ability to think / conceptualize independently and creatively, strength in building and analyzing complex financial models, and excellent business judgment and ability to synthesize, analyze and extract implications
- Experience creating and making highly effective presentations to senior management
- Strong organizational, project management, and execution skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Experience developing product roadmaps
- Experience with Ethernet products and understanding of its market and key players
- Experience with interface protocols such as Ethernet, RS-485, USB, I2C, SPI, PCIe and their common applications
- Understanding of applications such as Industrial PCs, Industrial automation, building automation, Ethernet Networking
- Extensive experience taking product from inception to commercialization, delivering on-time and the financial results targeted
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Exhibition experience an added plus
- Regular travel for customer meetings is required
