This position is a permanent position, and reports into the Manager Business Services Sanyi Cluster.
Role Purpose:
Within the Business Service Team (BST), the Representative Business Services is responsible for Procurement activities within the cluster. The role includes support of the management team of the cluster in maintaining procurement transactional system operation, eg. PO creation, PO vs Vendor Invoices mismatches problem resolution and material sample testing arrangement. In addition, contracts & supplier management are also the key tasks for this role.
This role is a true multitasker, also supporting the business in the general transactional Finance and general HR activities.
Responsibilities:
At the cluster level, the responsibilities for the role will include but are not limited to:
Transactional Procurement
· Generate and request Purchase orders for goods and services required by the business in the cluster
· Negotiate supplier contracts for small value purchases and execute accordingly, assuring all is done in compliance with Sibelco procurement policies and procedures
· Collaborate with cross functions to settle Receiving/Invoicing issues, resolve PO mismatches
· Tracking and/or expediting on goods/services delivery by the vendors.
· Handle master data change requests and act as a single point of contact for contract changes
· Responsible for contract management and maintain contracts in Zycus system
· Secure discipline in good receipts update by the people in the cluster
· Support sub-region SC&P Team, Commercial Team and Operations Team on special project as and when required
Continuous improvement
· Recommends ways to improve support for the business in the cluster by proposing and recommending refined policies, processes, standards and practice and liaise with sub-regional and global functional experts in this respect
· Act as a change champion on global and sub-regional policy and procedures deployment
· Conduct with Sibelco principle to drive continuous supplier performance improvement
About you:
With a Bachelor Degree in International trade or in a related field. You are looking for a more influential and multi-functional role, as a true contributor to an industrial multi-sites business. Commercially astute, you communicate and manage relationships well.
You generally have good knowledge of various procurement tactics and strategies, with knowledges of supply chain areas, eg. Logistics, import/export regulations and trade compliance is a bonus.
You also have a strong affinity with technology and quickly adapt to new technology tools and processes. Expert in working with Office 365 and ERP system, by preference SAP.
You are pro-active, able to work independently, as well as diplomatic and performance & action oriented, with strong problem solving skills and strong supplier management skills.
And finally, you are hands-on and an expert at multi-tasking.
