The Process Engineering Manager will develop and guide the process engineering time to be successful in a variety of engineering functions, including; process monitoring and improvement, complex troubleshooting, and supporting the introduction of new equipment and new products into manufacturing production. Ensures that manufacturing equipment and process validations meet company specifications, schedules, and budgets. Takes a leadership position in coordinating efforts between engineering groups, safety, operations, quality, and other functional groups. Works closely with other engineering teams in the development and application of expert troubleshooting of equipment, processes, and materials. Is a strong advocate for continuous improvement of technology and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and guides the Process Engineering team to meet business goals and objectives for the assigned manufacturing platforms.
  • Directly manages a team of process engineers and process technicians
  • Coaches team in development of technical performance metrics and dashboards (yield, process capability, cycle time, OEE, etc.) for assigned manufacturing platforms.
  • Promotes culture of innovation and continuous improvement to reduce manufacturing costs, increase production efficiency, and improve process capability.
  • Reviews and approves validation documentation.
  • Ensures that team members follow all regulatory and company guidelines related to Quality, Compliance, EHS&S, and Financial reporting.
  • Support and develop close collaboration between Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, Quality, Operations, Regulatory, Planning, and Strategic Sourcing.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field is required
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in a regulated manufacturing industry
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience
  • Previous experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to lead multiple assignments or projects with sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence with and without authority
  • Preferred Project Management certification
  • Preferred Six Sigma certification
