Job Description

  • Develop & Implement Key Strategic Imperatives with accompanying strategies, programs and milestones to successfully commercialize company key compound and Indications
  • Play key role in the Business Development Team to lead the Medical & Clinical development engagement with Partners including discussions on Clinical Data, MoA, Efficacy, Pre-Clinical etc. Assist in follow-up questions, supportive data to Partners
  • Contribute to and review clinical documents (slide presentations, protocols, clinical study reports, regulatory submission sections, investigator’s brochures). Includes preparations of presentation decks, reports, reviews etc. Ensure appropriate dissemination of clinical and scientific information in a timely, ethical and customer-focused manner, following regulatory and compliance guidelines of the company
  • Provide oversight of clinical studies, evaluate overall study integrity and review, interpretation and communication of accumulating data pertaining to safety and efficacy of the molecule. Responsible for medical interpretation of data (clinical trials, registries, published literature)
  • Drive and implement best practices in Medical Communications activities/initiatives. Serve as a Medical Writing representative on selected project teams and advise such teams on content, format, and style-guide requirements for documents. Provides medical writing support for development of documents, presentations, replies to Partners. Aid in the design, development, management, analysis, interpretation, writing, presentation, and publication of clinical studies
  • Establishes relationships with healthcare professionals / authors/ investigators. Develop and maintain relationships with academic institutions and key opinion leaders for the purposes of business and research collaboration
  • Leverages resources and attends appropriate medical congresses and scientific forums of interest and payer meetings to maintain business and clinical knowledge of assigned therapeutic areas, including current treatment strategies, current and pending competitors, and new therapeutic developments
The Successful Applicant

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical, drug discovery and biotechnology industry
  • Strong focus on personal accountability and ownership - constantly challenging oneself to take responsibility for continuous performance improvement and operational excellence. Ability to be a hands on, adaptable, focused, flexible, data driven, and results-oriented high performer
  • Prior direct involvement in Business Development, engagement with external Partners, active role in various stages of commercialization process (out-licensing, in-licensing etc)
  • Exceptional scientific acumen with the ability to translate and effectively communicate complex scientific data for varying audiences. Must be able to bring together multiple data points, analyze and present a cohesive and consistent position
  • Persuasive, communications skills - verbal (1-on-1 and presenting to groups), and written (business development, correspondence, internal/published technical pieces)
  • Demonstrated customer focus orientation & credibility with physicians, commercial partners, researchers and KOLs. Ability to build strong credibility and rapport to further the understanding of the company’s key compound
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & ability to convince/motivate a wide range of personalities (eg practitioners, academics, sales people, etc)
