Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Day To Day Responsibilities
  • Review SOS daily & compare base case.
  • Daily process monitoring/observation including tour/investigation.
  • Cross communications with operators/line-engineers in different areas.
  • Process periodic audit, e.g. Daily, Weekly, Monthly, including PCPD audit.
  • SPC(Dashboard) result monitor and routine review (daily or weekly).
  • Process capability monitor.
  • Performance tracking and OPS/SPM routine report and analysis.
  • Lead trouble-shooting, while contacting and involving appropriate sources.
  • Collect OCAP, TSG, and PAR records and analysis for effectiveness.
  • Provides day-to-day problem solving support to production, development and research operations.
  • Functions as a team member or team leader on focused projects.
  • Trouble shoots material, process and equipment issues, identifies root cause and implements corrective action.
  • Uses simple statistical tools and Designed Experiments (DOE) in process problem.
  • Develops SME knowledge of material, process and/or equipment in focused areas of manufacturing or engineering.
  • Executes cost reduction and improvement (DMAIC) projects in line with business objectives.
Education & Experience
  • 2 years of working experience.
  • Master’s degree of Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering or relevant field.
