Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in image and signal processing.
• Experience in subjective image quality evaluation and tuning for still and video image processing pipelines.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• 8 years of experience in hardware engineering.
• Experience in programming in C, C++, or Python.
• Experience in accessing visual quality using objective metrics and subjective techniques.
• Knowledge and understanding of ISP and image quality tuning for ISP.
  
  

About The Job

As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world’s largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. As an Image Quality Engineer, you will manage the image quality evaluation and tuning of the Image Signal Processor (ISP). You will build an image quality testing environment to perform quality tests. In addition to the standard image quality testing charts, you will also generate synthetic patterns to test imaging and computational photography algorithms in challenging ways as part of getting the best performance out of the system.

Responsibilities

• Design required tests for validating ISP algorithms and image tuning quality.
• Capture images from devices or evaluation kits for simulation.
• Perform subjective image quality evaluation of image processing algorithms and provide feedback to internal teams to improve image quality.
• Write scripts to generate simulation results and image quality metrics.
